About The Project

STILL.SLEEPING is a Social Art Project created in the wake of the events we have experienced in Israel since October 7th, and the need for many of us to hold on to the fragments of good that exist here.
As a part of the project people received a miniature figurine of a sleeping head, were asked to document it in places that were meaningful to them, and pass it on.
The project attempts to document significant places, while allowing the meaning to change from person to person.
For me, creating work based on the social space is an exciting challenge. I am full of anticipation to see where the heads end up, and grateful to those who agreed to share with me their moments of meaning, hoping to receive as many answers as possible to the question, why hang on to hope?
